Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal data when you use Istranslate (the “Service”). We are an individual operator located in Brazil, and the Brazilian LGPD may apply. Depending on your location and how the Service is offered/used, other privacy laws (including GDPR) may also apply.

2. What data we process
2.1. Account and authentication
- Identifiers from login providers (Telegram ID, Google account identifier, email address if used).
- Account profile data you have (e.g., nickname/avatar, if present).
- Session data (session token, session timestamps).
2.2. Service usage and technical data
- Device identifier for guest usage tracking (generated in your browser).
- IP address, user agent, timestamps, and anti-abuse counters.
- Logs and diagnostics for reliability and security.
2.3. Translation content
- Text you submit for translation.
- Translated results and related metadata (e.g., language/tone settings).
- If you are logged in, we store translation history to provide history/sync features. Guests may store history only locally in the browser.
2.4. Payments
- Payment provider identifiers (e.g., Stripe session/payment identifiers; Telegram (Tribute / Stars) payment identifiers).
- Payment status and credited Symbols amounts.
2.5. Support communications
- Messages you send via the Support Form and any contact details you provide.
3. Why we process data (purposes)
- Provide the Service (translation, features, history, account access).
- Process payments, credit Symbols, prevent fraud and abuse.
- Operate, maintain, debug, and secure the Service.
- Improve the Service (for example, product improvements and quality checks). This may include using translation history in aggregated, sampled, or reviewed form. This may involve human review for quality and safety purposes. You can request deletion of your history (see Section 8).
- Analytics to understand usage and improve UX (subject to consent where required).
4. Legal bases
We rely on different legal bases depending on context and law. Under LGPD, these may include performance of a contract, legitimate interests, and consent (especially for analytics cookies). Under GDPR, this may include contract performance, legitimate interests, and consent (where required).
5. Sharing and processors
We may share data with service providers that help us run the Service, including:
- AI provider / API gateway used to generate translations and related outputs (OpenRouter and upstream model providers).
- Database / storage used to store account and history data (e.g., NocoDB and hosting providers).
- Payment processors: Stripe; Telegram (Tribute / Stars).
- Support communications: messages from the Support Form may be delivered via Telegram messaging to the Operator for handling.
- Analytics: Google Analytics; Yandex Metrica (subject to consent where required). See Cookie Policy.
We do not sell your personal data.
6. International transfers
Your data may be processed and stored in countries other than where you live, including outside Brazil, depending on where our vendors and infrastructure operate. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
7. Retention
- Translation history for logged-in users is kept until you request deletion, or until we no longer need it for the purposes described above.
- Payment and accounting records may be retained for longer as required by law or for legitimate purposes (e.g., dispute handling).
- Security logs may be retained for a reasonable period to prevent abuse and ensure integrity.
8. Your rights (LGPD / GDPR)
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, portability, information about sharing, objection to processing, and withdrawal of consent. To exercise your rights, contact us at hello@istranslate.com or via the Support Form.
To request deletion of your translation history, contact us via the Support Form and include your Telegram ID (if applicable) and sufficient details to identify your account.

We use cookies and similar technologies. You can manage your preferences via the cookie banner and in your browser settings. See Cookie Notice & Cookie Policy for details.
10. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. However, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date indicates the latest revision.
